Reggae/dancehall artiste Asher believes in the power of positive music, stating that it is a vessel that was given to artistes and musicians to uplift the people.

"I always try my best to spread positive vibes by making music that will inspire and encourage my fans to live their best lives. I'm all about spreading more life and joy with my music," said the artiste.

The Guyanese-born singer, who currently resides in Canada, said his music is largely influenced by old school reggae and R&B.

"I grew up listening to a lot of roots-reggae music, soul and R&B as a youth. That's why I've been able to create a rich, diverse catalogue of music featuring different sounds and genres, including reggae, dancehall, Afrobeat, and R&B. I don't believe in limiting my creativity," he said.

Asher is currently promoting his single titled I'm Blessed. The song was produced by him and released on November 22.

"This song has a very positive message that resonates with people from all walks of life. I strongly believe it has the potential to be a hit. My team and I are pushing it hard both in Canada and Jamaica right now. Since we started the promotional campaign a few weeks ago, I have been getting some great feedback from my fans online about it," he said.

Asher, given name Kevin Odinga Henry, was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. He launched his recording career in Canada three years ago with a single titled Mo Love N Joy, which Canadian music producer Metikulus produced. Some of his other songs are Love Is Everything, Fake and Moan, featuring Zantelly.
