The first round of fixtures in the 2026 Jamaica Women's Premier League (JWPL) will kick off tomorrow as all 12 teams will be in action across Zone A and Zone B, highlighted by a doubleheader at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

Defending champions Frazsiers Whip will begin their title defence in the opening game of the doubleheader against Los Perfectos, before Arnett Gardens take on Real Mona in the curtain closer.

It will be a repeat of last season's semi-finals when Frazsiers Whip take to the field against Los Perfectos. Frazsiers Whip are three-time defending champions and heavy favourites to once again retain the title after an unbeaten season last year.

However, it will not be an easy task against a Los Perfectos team who will be looking to better their fourth-place finish last season.

In the day's curtain-closer, Arnett will take on Real Mona, who are making their return to the league.

It is expected to be a close affair as Arnett, who placed third last season, will welcome a youthful Real Mona squad.

Neo Oxford, head coach of Real Mona, holds lofty expectations for his squad and said, despite their age, his players are more than ready for the nation's top flight.

Ahead of the season, Real Mona formed a merger with Reinas Football Academy, which allowed for players from the academy to compete under Real Mona's banner.

"We've entered before, back then, with an even younger team than what we're entering now, and we went all the way to the quarter-finals," he said.

"I'm not going to say we're going to go on to win or that we'll go to the final. Anything is possible but, right now, I can tell you that we will be competitive throughout this league."

In other action across the league, Proven Girls will play hosts to Wi-Fi United at York Sports Complex, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.

Last season's beaten finalists Cavalier will travel to face University of the West Indies (UWI) Women, when they open their campaign at UWI Bowl, Mona.

Springers United will hope to open their campaign with a win when they play hosts to Mile Gully at Irwin High School, while Real MoBay will welcome Federal United at Jarrett Park.
