Country western singer Wesrok is excited about his latest single, God Knows Me Better, a gospel-infused song that affirms his own beliefs in the existence of God.

"I wrote this song because I believe that at some point in your life, you have to look at where you are and the world at large and ask the question: why are we here? Which life is the best you can live?" Wesrok mused.

"By all accounts, instead of doing things that will take you further away from God, it is best to do the things that draw you nearer. It is personally beneficial and to inspire the world," he added.

There was no eureka moment or ‘Damascus road’ moment that triggered his commitment to Christianity. Instead, Wesrok walked into the fold by degrees, through restless self-examination and enduring faith in the Great Author.

"I have come to realise that there is a God and there is a standard in life that you have to emulate and exemplify, and the conclusion is that you have to pull yourself closer to the Creator. No one is perfect. I want to be counted among the persons who recognise that God exists and that He is the author and the finisher of our faith ... He is our everything," he said.

The track popped up on the US iTunes chart, competing with songs like Hawaiian artiste Isreal Kamakawiwo’ole's Just Over The Rainbow.

A former police officer, Wesrok launched his recording career five years ago. His song, Ride Cowboy Ride, was named in the provisional list for Best Country Solo Performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards. He is best known for songs such as Try to Hold Me featuring Masicka and True Love featuring Big Mountain.
