Teen charged with rape

A 15-year-old student of Alligator Pond, Manchester, has been charged

with rape following an incident in the parish on May 20.

Reports from the Mandeville police are that at 7 p.m., a girl went to a

business establishment to use the restroom when she was pounced upon

by the boy who sexually assaulted her. Following the incident, a report

was made to the police, and the boy was apprehended. He was

subsequently charged after he was positively identified during an

identification parade.

He is to appear before the Manchester Family Court on June 16.
